Hilo High School Key Club was chartered in November 1952 and is the longest active club in Hawaii, sponsored by the Kiwanis of East Hawaii. Hilo High School Key Club is a part of Division 22 Makai, a division consisting of the outer island clubs on the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai. Makai's mascot is the opihi (aka a limpet), because despite our distance apart, we still stick together. The whole state of Hawaii makes up Region 18, which includes two other divisions, Division 22 Hikina (East Oahu) and Division 22 Komohana (West Oahu). Region 18 is then a part of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District, whose mascot is the bee.

The 2017-2018 LTG's of Makai, Hikina, and Komohana with their new LTG elects.
